Domain Name Information
Checking the domain name records shows that this pharmacy has been online since the year 2000. This is a long time for a pharmacy to have been in business and suggests that they are more likely to be legit.
The business is using a privacy service to hide their details in the domain records. For obvious reasons, this can look suspicious and is something we often find unreliable drugstores resort to, though it isn’t necessarily the case. Often domain name registrars provide this service for free.
Business Profile
This pharmacy gives the business name Canadian Prescription Drugs Inc. They say that they are a trusted Canadian company, and when we check the business records, it is true that they are registered with the government.
The pharmacy also gives us an address, but, unfortunately, it is only a PO box address. However, when we check this address we do find a pharmacy located there. This is a good sign and indicates that the pharmacy is probably legit.
Regulatory Approval
If you want to ensure that the pharmacy you use is safe, you want to find some regulatory approvals. This should show that the drugstore is operating to higher standards for the safety of their customers.
This pharmacy doesn’t display any regulatory seals that would suggest they are correctly accredited. They do display a Better Business Bureau seal with an A+ rating, which is better than nothing but doesn’t quite show they have safe regulatory approval.
Running a check with the Ontario College of Pharmacists doesn’t find any license information for this company. The reason for this might be because they are using the details of a different company, perhaps the pharmacy shown at the address. Canadian Drug Mart is registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
Running a check with LegitScript shows that they are unapproved. Though this isn’t a great discovery, at least they aren’t rated as a rogue.
Medicine Available
The pharmacy offers a good range of prescription medicines. Both brand and generic alternatives are provided, though the prices are not the most competitive online.
While you will need a valid prescription before you order from this pharmacy, they do not give much information about the pills on the product pages. They also do not give full information about where these medicines are being dispensed from.
While we assume that it is the pharmacy located at the approximate address given, we do not know this for certain. There is a risk that these pills are coming from somewhere else and perhaps even another country.
Payment Methods
The pharmacy site is secure, and while they do not accept health insurance plans, you can choose between the following methods to pay:
■ Visa
■ MasterCard
■ Discover
Shipping
They offer free shipping to new customers as long as you spend more than $50. If you aren’t a new customer or spending over $50, you will have to pay $19 for shipping. Shipping isn’t quick, however, with delivery taking place in 2 to 4 weeks.
They only currently ship medicine to addresses in the USA. This makes it surprising that the shipping time is so long, and this is a sort of time you would expect if the medicine was being shipped from India instead of Canada.
Canpd.com Reviews
The pharmacy does display some CanPD.com reviews on their store, and even includes photos of the person who wrote the comment. This probably suggests that these customers have been asked to give their feedback, and means that they are hardly likely to be unbiased.
It is, of course, better to get independent reviews on the independent website. But we can’t find many, and even those may not relate directly to this drugstore. There are 3 comments on Google, but they might refer to Canadian Drug Mart and not the service provided by this online pharmacy.
Conclusion
While this pharmacy is doing some things correctly there are problems as well. We cannot be absolutely certain where they are dispensing medicine from since they only give us a PO box address. They are, however, a genuine company that has been in business for nearly 22 years, so they should be safe.
Overall we give them a trust rating of 60%. There are probably better choices available to you.
